About

Artful dodger

A quick walk-through was all I asked for –

quick, and detached – an easy dalliance –

for information, exclamation, some artful

decoration – then to recount it in a poetic

fashion – that was how I had planned it –

a walk through life. But like all other best

laid plans this too went its way – it turned

personal – life came too close for comfort

I could see the cracked skin, smell the bad

smell – then I saw I was in the thick of life

and could see its flaws clearly, clearly. The

days unnerved me – the nights embraced

daytime confusions and gave them earth

hues and wild feathers the geese had left

fluttering in air as they flew southwards.

That is how the geese came to own a part

of my life. They were happy to grasp it in

their soaring beaks, twirl it playfully, roll it

around so I went dizzy and finally one day

they put it back on earth, close to where I

sat in the grass with tears in my eyes. And

then I saw life with feathers – and wings.

Hi mj. I have nominated you for a Leibster Award at http://notedinnashville.com/2012/12/26/liebster-award/.

If you don’t wish to accept the award, just let the offer dissolve into the World Wide Web. I’ll still be your blogging buddy.

    • Thank you so much for your kind thoughts…. it would be my first blogging award / ‘reward’ and I’m honored you thought of me.

Please tell me a little more about it. And also what I’m supposed to do… I would not like to miss any steps because of my lack of experience.

Have a great new year… you just gave me my Christmas present … I’m glad, I believe in Santa…. 🙂

I’m so happy to have been Santa’s helper. 🙂 It was my first award, so I’m on a learning curve too.

If you go here: http://notedinnashville.com/ and read yesterday’s post “Liebster Award,” there is a list of questions for you to answer near the bottom of the post. They’re meant to be fun and help your readers get to know you a little better. The rules are also listed at the bottom of the post. You can copy and paste the Liebster Award icon onto your blog. Then, you come up with new questions for your nominees.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’ll be happy to help.

Have fun, and thank you for visiting my blog!

  9. Wow this is so beautiful! I want this printed out and stuck on my wall. It was just what I needed to read right now too – inspiration, reassurance, clarity, joy and faith in transformation all came from those words. Glad to have found you on here. Lots of love X

    • Thank you so very much. I’m so glad the words inspire you. But you know what… I think the universe works in mysterious ways nothing to do with us. When you need assurance / support / love, badly, real bad… something or someone comes along to bring you exactly what you need. It’s the universe’s way of saying it cares for you. 🙂

Take care and have a restful weekend!

  10. It seems that you never look down either, couragous & wonderful 🙂
