If thou speakest not I will fill my heart with thy silence and endure it.
I will keep still and wait like the night with starry vigil
and its head bent low with patience.
The morning will surely come, the darkness will vanish,
and thy voice pour down in golden streams breaking through the sky.
Then thy words will take wing in songs from every one of my birds’ nests,
and thy melodies will break forth in flowers in all my forest groves.

Oh how beautiful! Guruji is always inspiring.
Wishing you light and love dear Meenakshi. I know ‘your words will take wing in songs..’, they always do. Hugs 🙂
It’s amazing how the poet/poetess turned a simple theme into a beauty of words. That the speaker will hold on to silence when words, so longed for, are unspoken, clearly shows a resolve to wait. To be patience. The reward for this virtue is often big. I always pray for such a magnanimous heart as the speaker’s.
Thanks for sharing, MJ.
Dear Uzoma,
I have been absent from the blogosphere and as a result, I have been missing my good friends – you foremost among them.
Today, I decided to put everything aside and start the day with wishing my good friends a great year ahead.
And so,my friend, here’s a special prayer and a special wish for you and your loved ones – that 2014 be the year of your dreams brimming over with color, of your hopes growing wings and flying in the sky, of everything your heart desires reaching out to you with outstretched arms, and more learning, more joy, more peace – not just in your lives, but in the world you live in, in our world.
Hope you win an award for your excellent writing!
with warmest affection
meenakshi
Welcome back Meena… it’s been a while 🙂
I have been struggling not to stay away… as always, Tagore came to my rescue! Hope you’ve been well! Thank you for stopping by.
I confess I missed your writing and your thoughts here. It’s so good see you active again. You made my day.
Where did Patience by Tagore go?
wander within stillness one feels as well as sees the reflections
of what is to be…we do not accept without thoughts though….
for within those those thoughts we create our own kingdom where
roses shall be nurtured and grow….
I have missed your words….
Hope everything is well within your world
Take Care….You Matter….
