It’s animated metal husbandry:
A fat drill growling with barely masked power.
A thin drill whining as it closes in, evil
eyes dancing at my discomfort.
A suction pipe from one side and more gleaming
steel striking terror in my heart….
The dentist attempts human interface through metallic chatter:
“Only two minutes more… don’t close..”
Should I tell her that her words are falling into
the hole she drills… that the shining metal is doing
all the talking?

Chilling, dark, yet beautifully described. Did you have an appointment with a dentist recently?
Best wishes.

yes, I did! And I was horrified…. terrified… petrified… at the array of destruction lined up before me… :))

I’ve been to the dentist three times already. In all, the dentist said I’d two impacted molars. They both have been removed and now one I’ve one my premolars filled.
I agree with you about their (dentists) set of working equipment. They are very horrifying.
