TS Eliot at his best… enjoy!

Well, it’s Sunday. Time for another Weekend Poetry Reading. For this weeks reading, we chose TS Eliot.

This is Eliot reading his “Four Quartets”, a collection of four poems published separately, initially, over a 6 year period, first collected together in 1944. Generally well-received at the time (although Orwell criticised Eliot’s religious overtones, however critics have challenged this perception), this is considered Eliot’s last great work.

As always with these readings, we try to get a reading by the original poet themselves to present something in the poem that people may not have known before. Something unseen, unheard, unknown. Take an hour out of your day (it’s Sunday, relax) and enjoy this reading of The Four Quartets by Eliot.
